08/08/08
Intresting date that won't repeat for a long long time. I always want to do what others do and follow the trend and at times do something exclusive to get noticed.
Thought of publishing something on this date 08/08/08...
I am going to watch movie 'Singh is King' today and plan to blog in 2 of my blogs, just for the sake of this date.
I will be soon completing 30 years of my life in this world and few months later will bring a new life to theworld. I talked to my mom, who is always fun to talk with, the most hilarious person I have ever met in the world. There are people who speak even single sentence and it looks like a joke. She wanted to know desparately if I was having a baby girl or boy. I had told her earlier that as per chinese predictions and the old wives tales it is a baby girl. She wanted to hear its a boy, typical indian mother :) She tried all her ways and it was fun to tease her over the phone.
The desire for having a baby boy will never end in this world, atleast I know, till I am alive and who knows even after that it will continue.... People may say it 100 times that it doesn't matter to them, if its a boy or a girl, but there are really few who really mean it.

Transcripts of history
Yesterday i was watching 'Jodhaa Akbar', a historical movie. I was following up the controversies arising with the release of movie about the exitence of 'Jodha' and she being the wife of the great akbar????
While watching the movie, I thought, what if someone would have passed on the true stories of histrories to the next generations, we wouldn't had any doubts regarding the existence of famous stories. Now, that we have many channels to publish it. I thought I would also document the incidents of history which I remember, in my small conserved life, which happpned during my lifetime...I am sure I may be wrong in cases, its my own perception and opinion of retroscpecting histroy which I have seen...
I am writing it in random order as and when I remember....
The few of the historical events which I remember at the top of my head are Gulf war, Assaisination of Rajiv Gandhi, Lord Ganesha sipping milk :-)
Godhra Kaand...the ram janma bhumi vivad, Dilwale dulhaniya completing 10 years at maratha mandir..Atal Bihari as prime minister, sleeping devegowda in parliament...Many film stars entering Politics and many of them leaving it..3 new states formed in India including chhattisgarh

Smell of My Country!!!
Mere Desh Ki Khushboo...
I love my country and I often miss it. Thats why I make sure to go India every 4-5 months.. Its not that I am rich, its just that my company pays it :-)
This was in December 2006 and it had been 8 and a half months that I had not been to India. I was excited through out the journey, recollecting few Hindi Words which I will be using as soon as I reach India.."Sahi yaar" "Bindaas" "Mast" "Pakau" etc..etc..Thinking what I am gonna do, what all I am gonna eat!!
I was counting hours, minutes..and Finally I reached India, Landed Mumbai Airport. As soon as I came out of the flight..I felt the warmth of the air (In December) thats my country.
I took a deep breath, trying to smell that air, the smell of my country. That was the first thing I did to show my temptness to be in my country.
As I took another long deep breathe and looked around, a lady was smelling her 6 months old son, his diaper and his body and when ours eyes stuck at each other, she told me "Abhi to diaper change kiya, aapko smell aa rahi hai" (I had changed my baby's diaper now only)
I told her, "No, Its not that. I am just smelling India", before I could say anything she told " Yeah, its smells bad, soooo humid, and no AC's"
Before I could show my excitement, she made me say...
"Oh yeah..!!India mein Kitni Garmi hai." (<-I did not mean this, then why did I say?)
